Adult Ministries, featuring Adult Sunday School, Life Groups, and Adult Education, are open to men and women, and complement the Men’s and Women’s ministries at Desert Son. Our prayer for men and women of all ages is to: Grow Spiritually – hunger for God’s Word. Live in Community – together, as family. Disciple the Body – make disciples who make disciples. Serve Selflessly – reach a lost and hurting world with the Truth by word and deed. We have opportunities in all sizes to help people reach these objectives: small (Life Groups), medium (Adult Sunday School, Adult Education) and large (Corporate Worship). As the group size grows smaller, the relationships grow closer and deeper. All Desert Son members are encouraged to be a part of these smaller groups, to pray together, share life, connect deeply with one another, and together put faith into action. Adult Education
Adult Education equips believers to grow in sound doctrine and faithful living. Through guided classes and Bible studies, we deepen our understanding of God’s Word and apply it. As we are transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), we grow in maturity, discernment, and Christlike character. These gatherings build up the body, guard us from error, and help us live wisely in a world needing truth and grace.
Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School is devoted to Bible study, prayer, and mutual encouragement. We set our hearts and minds on Christ and His Word before worship. Believing all Scripture is profitable (2 Timothy 3:16), our teaching encourages growth in grace, knowledge of Christ, corporate prayer, and gospel-centered community. Our focus is Christ, and our passion is knowing Him more through His Word together.
Life Groups
Life Groups are the community life forum of Desert Son. God made us for life together, to rejoice when our Brothers and Sisters rejoice, mourn when they mourn, and bear each other’s burdens through trials. We are their keepers, encouragers, watchmen, comforters, dinner hosts, prayer advocates, faithful companions, and study partners, walking together in Christ. And they are ours.
